These Tweets About BTS & Lauv's "Make It Right" Remix Will Make You Emotional

ARMY Twitter has done it again: they've broken Twitter. Just last week on Oct. 12 and 13, the BTS ARMY took over Twitter with their many, many hashtags to celebrate Jimin's birthday, and now they've done it again because BTS has released their "Make It Right" remix featuring Lauv. I have only one thing to say to the BTS ARMY: "You're doing amazing, sweetie." Seriously. BTS and Lauv's "Make It Right" remix deserves every ounce of love and attention it's getting because the song slays. The these tweets about BTS and Lauv's "Make It Right" remix perfectly capture my emotions right now because I can't stop listening to BTS and Lauv's revamp of "Make It Right."

Big Hit Entertainment announced the collaboration exactly one day before it dropped. At 5 a.m. EST on Oct. 17, the company tweeted that fans can expect the remix exactly 24 hours later on Oct. 18. The announcement came after the Korean news outlet OSEN reported that BTS will be releasing a "Make It Right" remix with Lauv on Oct. 18, and Big Hit responded with, "We are releasing our official content according to schedule. We cannot confirm any specifics, according to Soompi. Thankfully, fans didn't have to wait long for a confirmation from Big Hit because they revealed the big news just hours later.

BTS and Lauv also hyped fans up for their collaboration by sending each other some cute tweets. First up was Lauv, who shared a Photoshopped picture of himself matching BTS' Love Yourself tour outfits. He tweeted, "did I finally #makeitright?"

BTS responded with, "You always #makeitright." So cute!

The "Make It Right" remix follows BTS previous collaborations this year with artists like Halsey, Lil Nas X, Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, Juice WRLD, and Becky G. BTS' original "Make It Right" track is also a collaboration with Ed Sheeran, as the "Perfect" singer co-wrote the song.

Now that the remix is out in full, the BTS ARMY can't stop gushing over it.

HERE'S HOW THE BTS ARMY REACTED TO BTS AND LAUV'S "MAKE IT RIGHT" REMIX:

If you don't get what all the hype is about, I suggest you listen to the "Make It Right" remix for yourself below.

You'll notice that the remix isn't that much different than the original "Make It Right." It still has the same beat and most of the same lyrics. The only difference is the song now has Lauv in the first verse and chorus and his lyrics are in English.

BTS and Lauv also dropped a really sweet music video for their remix, too. The BTS ARMY is feeling emotional over the video because it seems to be dedicated to them. The video shows BTS and their fans for the majority of the video, along with a really cute animation of a boy and girl.

You can watch the "Make It Right" remix music video below.

BTS has such a special relationship with their fans and it's so amazing that once again, they dedicated a performance just for them. Excuse me while I go join the BTS ARMY in this sob sesh because I'm getting emotional, too.

The 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16 Episode 5 Promo Is Full Of Relationship Drama

Meredith and DeLuca, Bailey and Ben, Amelia and Link it looks like pretty much no couple is safe from relationship drama on Grey's Anatomy right now. The show is getting into the groove of its 16th season, which means it's right on schedule to be ramping up everyone's trouble with love. The Grey's Anatomy Season 16 Episode 5 promo is proof enough that things are starting to get rocky for a handful of couples, so get ready for the inevitable fights and tears.

Episode 4 started out innocuous enough for the pairings on the show, but as the events unfolded, it became pretty clear that things were not going to stay peachy keen for everyone. After a website published a scathing article pitched by Meredith but taken out of context, the doctor-turned-writer ditched her court-appointed community service in order to try and make amends with the folks at Grey Sloan. But her delinquency didn't sit well with DeLuca, and he called her out for being self-destructive, saying she could have just finished her work hours first before addressing the problem with the article.

Meanwhile, Bailey, who at first though Meredith's article drama was giving her heart attack, later realized her hot flashes and moodiness were actually the result of hormonal changes, just not quite the ones she was expecting. At the end of the episode, Maggie took Bailey aside to explain that she was perimenopausal... and pregnant. Bailey's shock was obvious, and left fans wondering how she and Ben will handle this new development.

The Oct. 24 episode's promo addresses both these relationships, plus a few more:

TV Promos on YouTube

In addition to Mere seemingly questioning her relationship with DeLuca and Bailey trying (and failing) to tell Ben her big news, viewers also see trouble brewing for two more couples. The show's other currently pregnant doctor, Amelia, voices concerns over how well she actually knows Link, her future baby's father, mentioning that she doesn't even know his parents' names. Then and this is a big one, folks the clip cuts to Richard, who is at a restaurant with his former patient Gemma. Not only are they sitting on the same side of the table (a practice that is supposed to be reserved for only the most obnoxiously in-love couples), but it also definitely looks like she's coming on to him. "Life is too short to deprive ourselves," she coos at him in the video. After all the issues Richard and Catherine have been going through due to the former's dismissal from Grey Sloan, this dining outing definitely looks like a red flag.

So, which relationships will survive the test of Grey's? Only time will tell. Grey's Anatomy continues on Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Does Waiting To Text Someone Back Make Them Want You More? Guys Reveal The Truth

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

Anyone who says they don't play the texting game is lying. You know the one. It's when you're texting with someone you're interested in but one or both people are waiting to text back after a few minutes or hours instead of replying immediately. It's a tactical game of waiting to text someone back that keeps you on your toes.

In a dating world plagued with ghosting and zombieing, its not surprising people have built up their defenses to prevent getting hurt. Its even less surprising that not texting back right away is one of the ways they do that. Joshua Klapow, Ph.D, a clinical psychologist and host of The Kurre and Klapow Show, tells Elite Daily, There is the perception that responding too quickly shows too much interest, too much 'desperation,' and too much need. Waiting conveys that you have other activities that are more pressing. He continues, This is truly a game and we never really know why someone waits to text back unless they tell us why they waited.

It sucks to be the one waiting around for a text back, especially if youre genuinely interested in someone. Waiting means you have too much time to think about all the possible reasons they might be temporarily ghosting you. Should you be worried when you havent heard back in some time? Klapow says, It's all about patterns and circumstances. Is this a person who always takes a long time to respond? Do they typically go hours [or] days without a response? A person who takes days to respond is a person who either doesnt care enough about your message, is disorganized, or has so much going on that even instant communication isnt possible with them.

But what does it look like on the other end? Does the person youre texting care about how long it takes you to text back? These responses might give a little insight.

,

Some people might start to worry.

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.
Did they read it? Are they okay? They must think I'm bugging them too much. I should go do something else. Wait. Was that my phone? Nope. Okay. It's going to be okay. OH! THREE DOTS. THEY'RE TYPING. HIT SEND. ARE YOU WRITING ME A NOVEL?! WHAT. WHY DID THE DOTS DISAPPEAR. Did you drop your phone in the toilet?

SleeplessInTheBay

Waiting to get a text back from the person youre interested in is a big deal to some. According to Dr. LeslieBeth Wish, nationally honored psychotherapist and author of the new book Training Your Love Intuition, There aren't any little questions at all when it comes to dating and relating. Your understandable fears range from not wanting to appear too desperate to not wanting to give the wrong impression that you are ready for sex to not wanting the other person to think you are not interested in getting together. This [texting] dilemma ... is an important communication decision about you, your feelings and situation, and respect for the other person.

Not everyone cares that much, though.

I usually forget about it until my phone dings with a response.

Why_Do_We_Fall_Bruce

It could just be that the person youre texting is busy. Dating coach and relationship expert James Preece previously told Elite Daily, "Don't rush to conclusions if this is the first time it's happened. People do get busy and life can get in the way. Some people are just talkers rather than texters.

Every person has a different idea about whats normal.

I personally think shes either busy or doesnt want to seem to eager to reply. I have a friend who always thinks this means the girl's not interested in him, though. Meanwhile, Im too focused on what her response will be as opposed to when itll be.

Jason*, 28

A normal reaction really depends on the person whos waiting on the text, not to mention the person who is sending (or not sending) the text to begin with. According to Wish, Yes, there are emergencies, but for most people, the response comes within a day or two. She says, Use your judgment. You might even know that this person is going through tough times ... Not hearing back right away is not always about you.

For others, its about the type of conversation.

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.
I really don't like long drawn out conversations through text. If we're making plans, I'll respond immediately. If a girl likes to text me all day, I'll take my sweet time replying so that we never run out of things to talk about and I can still do things besides type on my phone all day.

theonlybiscuitleft

Some people read too far into their texts.

Depending on the person, I'll criticise every word as being the reason they haven't responded yet.

DropBearInDisguise

Waiting forever just isnt fair to yourself, so if you need to reach back out, dont feel bad about doing so. Wish says, Text the person after a day or two and say something such as: Are you OK? I worry when I don't hear back from friends. I hope I somehow did not upset you. If all is OK, just text me a quick emoji. That way youre not putting too much pressure on either party.

It might not be about how long it takes to text back, what matters is that you answer eventually.

I don't think about it at all. I don't really care as long as she replies eventually.

Brent*, 22

Some people think a late reply means youre not interested.

I pay attention to when a girl replies because too long and without a reason just feels like she's not into it.

Anthony*, 26

Preece previously told Elite Daily, "It's common to wait a period of time to reply in order to give the impression they are in demand and so, they don't come across as being too keen. The problem is when the other person takes equally as long to respond. This leads to a very stilted conversation that risks both parties losing interest." Keep that in mind next time youre waiting to send a response.

BTS' "Make It Right" Remix Lyrics Will Make You Feel Things

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

BTS' lyrics have a knack for hitting fans right in the feels. Whether ARMYs feel empowered by lyrics like, "I'm the one I should love," in "Epiphany" or straight-up emotional over the line, "But I still want you," in "The Truth Untold," BTS' songs evoke a ton of emotion. Confidence, anger, love, sadness, happiness you name it, there's a BTS song for it. Luckily, on Oct. 18, BTS released a remix of their fan-favorite track "Make It Right" with Lauv with even more lyrics to love. Seriously,, BTS' "Make It Right" remix lyrics will make you feel things, I'm telling you.

The group released the original "Make It Right" track with their Map of the Soul: Persona album on April 12, 2019. The album launched BTS to new heights, becoming their third album to reach the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart in less than a year. (They released Love Yourself: Tear in May 2018 and Love Yourself: Answer in August 2018.) The achievement made BTS the first band since The Beatles to score three consecutive No. 1 albums in a single year.

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

Not only that, but Map of the Soul: Persona was also notable for featuring collaborations with several Western artists. BTS collaborated with Halsey for "Boy With Luv," which they performed at the Billboard Music Awards on May 1. BTS also collaborated with Ed Sheeran on the original "Make It Right" track. Although Sheeran didn't lend his vocals on "Make It Right," he did help co-write the song with BTS' RM, Suga, and J-Hope.

Now, BTS has teamed up with another remarkable artist: Lauv, who is behind hits like ""I Like Me Better" and "i'm so tired... " Considering both BTS and Lauv are huge artists, I have no doubt this "Make It Right" remix will be a hit, too.

You can listen to the "Make It Right" remix below.

You'll notice the remix includes different lyrics than the original song. The first half of the song includes English lyrics by Lauv, while the second half of the song keeps the same Korean lyrics as the original track. Because you can't fully appreciate the new version without knowing the words, I have the lyrics for you right here.

You can read the "Make It Right" remix lyrics below via Genus.

VERSE 1: Lauv

I was lost, I was trying to find the answer

In the world around me, yeah,Iwas going crazy

Allday, all night

You're the only onewho understood me

And all that I was going through

Yeah, I just gotta tell you, oh, baby I

REFRAIN: Lauv

I could make it better

I could hold you tighter

Cause through the morning

Oh you're the light (Oh)

And I almost lost ya

But I can't forget ya

Cause you were the reason I survived

PRE-CHORUS: Lauv

You were there for me through all the times I cried

I was there for you and then I lost my mind

I know that I messed up but I promise I

Oh, oh, I can make it right

CHORUS: Lauv

All right

All right

Oh I can make it right

All right

All right

Oh I can make it right

VERSE 2: J-Hope

I became a hero in this world

The loud screams that seek me out

My hand, trophy and a gold microphone

All day, everywhere

But all of this is about reaching you

It's the answer to my journey

I'm singing to find you

Baby to you

VERSE 3: RM

A little taller than I was before

With a voice a little more solid

All of this to go back to you

Now I'll spread wide a map called you

My rehab

Look at me, why can't you recognize me?

I don't want to hear other people's noises

Your fragrance still penetrates and breaks me down

Let's go back to that time

REFRAIN: Jin

Baby I know

I can make it better

I can hold you tighter

All those roads

Are pointing to you

VERSE 4: Jimin

Everything was useless

Anything other than you

Just touch me like that time

PRE-CHORUS: Jungkook, Jin, V, Jimin

This eternal night with no end in sight

Its you who gifted me the morning

Now can I hold that hand?

Oh oh

I can make it right

CHORUS: V, Jimin

All right

All right

Oh I can make it right

All right

All right

Oh I can make it right

BRIDGE: Suga

You are still beautiful

Just hold me silently like you did that day, that time

The reason I survived in hell

Its for you, it was not for me

If you know, don't hesitate and please save my life

Im thirsty wandering this desert without you

So hurry and grab me quickly

I know the sea without you is the same as a desert

REFRAIN: Jimin, Jungkook

All right

I can make it better

I can hold you tighter

Oh I can make it right

OUTRO: Jimin, V

Everything was useless

Anything other than you

Oh I can make it right

The good news is that you can see these lyrics visualized in the form of a music video. Along with the remix, BTS and Lauv dropped a MV for their new song together, which you can watch below.

6 Halloween Costumes With Only Makeup & Clothes From Your Closet

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

I do this every year: I start thinking about my Halloween costume by June (at least) and I come up with some really good ideas. But before I know it, it's October and I've already forgotten what I wanted to dress up as. And it always ends days before Halloween when I throw together something at the last minute, hours before a friend's costume party. Because old habits die hard, I've decided to peruse the internet for the best ways to create Halloween costumes with only makeup the next time I find myself scrambling at the last minute. My vanity drawers are stuffed with all the makeup I need and surely I can find something hidden in the back of my closet, right?

But after falling down a rabbit hole of Halloween makeup looks on social media, I realized these looks are less about settling for a last-minute costume (though they're great in a pinch) and more about letting your makeup take center stage (because they're that good). Scroll down for seven costumes you can recreate using a packed makeup bag and items you probably already have in your closet. And the best part is they still look good enough to win all those costume contests that you're sure to run into this year.

Maddy from Euphoria

The Makeup: Pay homage to one of the most iconic characters on HBO's hit show Euphoria with her classically gorgeous makeup look. Pick up some flat-back crystals and eyelash glue, and use your favorite eyeshadow palette to create a colorful eye look that's scary good. Dot the crystals wherever they take you, and finish with an exaggerated cat eye.

The Outfit: Maddy's not only a makeup queen, but she's a quintessential fashionista, so pull out your sexiest, most fashion-forward dress to go with this makeup. If you're lucky enough to still have a cheerleading outfit from school years past hidden in your closet, you could also wear that.

An Alien

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

The Makeup: Why not be a celestial figure traveling throughout the galaxy? Alien makeup has soared in popularity on Pinterest, with searches up 659% this year, according to the brand. Create an ombr effect by blending together shades of pink, blue and purple cream shadows with a makeup sponge, then use white eyeliner to create stars and constellations. Finally, dust a silver-toned highlighter across your entire face, and it'll look like the moon is shining down on you all night.

The Outfit: Anything covered in a galaxy print would be a cute way to round out the theme (celestial leggings, t-shirts and socks all work great!), but a little black dress could work just as well.

Unicorn

The Makeup: The makeup looks you can create with a unicorn in mind are endless. Create a pink contour with heavy blush or a pink eyeshadow, draw on a rainbow cat eye, stick on some rhinestones, dust yourself in glitter, and your good to go. Pretty much anything bright and color anything goes here.

The Outfit: Pair your colorful makeup look with an all-white or silver outfit, and of course, don't forget your shiny unicorn horn, which you can make with paper and a headband in a pinch.

Mermaid

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

The Makeup: Slip a fishnet sock over your head and apply metallic blue and purple eyeshadows over the net to create a scale pattern. Remove the sock and embellish your look with glitter, rhinestones, seashells anything reminiscent of the sea. Finish off your look with a colorful lip and eyeliner. Extra points for colorful hair or a mermaid-inspired wig you have sitting in the back of your closet.

The Outfit: There's literally no better time to wear a mermaid skirt than for Halloween. To complete the look, throw on a sequined top and pile on the costume jewels.

PowerPuff Girl

Ellie Addis on YouTube

The Makeup: Pinterest also reports that PowerPuff Girl makeup is one of the most popular searches for women this Halloween and it's so easy to do. Simply pick whether you want to be Blossom, Bubbles, or Buttercup and create a monochromatic makeup look using the corresponding color. Bonus points if you have a lip product in a color that matches your eye makeup.

The Outfit: Scour your closet for a blue, pink, or green dress, depending on which PowerPuff Girl you chose. Then, simply wrap a black belt around your waist, and your costume is complete.

Ice Queen

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

The Makeup: Now's your chance to pile on the glitter! To get this Ice Queen makeup look, mix white face paint with your go-to foundation to give your skin that frozen look. Pile on the silver-tone highlighter and break out the silver glitter. Finish with a holographic blue lipstick.

The Outfit: Anything light blue, white, silver sequined, glittery, or iridescent would work for this look.

The 'A Million Little Things' Season 2 Episode 5 Promo Reveals Major Secrets

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

A Million Little Things may have (mostly) solved the mystery of Jon's death in Season 1, but that doesn't mean everything is fine and dandy for the Boston friend group. If anything, life is even more complicated for Eddy, Gary, Rome, and the gang in the show's second season. There are more twisted storylines now than ever before, and after a tense (and rainy) fourth episode, the A Million Little Things Season 2 Episode 5 promo teases trouble ahead for pretty much everyone.

Warning: Spoilers for A Million Little Things Season 2 Episode 4 follow. As the show has become known for doing, the fourth episode of A Million Little Things addressed multiple storylines before bringing all the characters together for a feel-good moment. Katherine grappled with the idea of Eddie "babysitting" his and Delilah's infant daughter Charlie. Regina tried to keep her struggling new restaurant afloat. And Maggie faced new truths about her family with Eric, the man who received her late brother's heart, while Gary attempted in vain to comfort her. As always, there was a lot going on, and while it looks like the next episode will expand upon many of these plot lines, it's also going to bring up some new troubles.

TV Promos on YouTube

Right off the bat, it's made clear that the circumstances surrounding Jon's life and death are not fully in the past. In addition to PJ (who has been conspicuously missing as of late), it looks like another young mystery man has a connection to Jon, though it's hard to tell what this guy who knocks on Delilah's door actually wants. There's not much time to dwell on this, though, since the video quickly cuts to another new development, which is that Rome is working on a national commercial. However, Regina doesn't seem too pleased with this gig, especially since her husband apparently didn't let her in on the details about it. "A national commercial... about our life. How could you not run that by me?" she asks in the clip.

Again, before there's a chance to ponder this, the promo then jumps to Eddie and Katherine. Apparently, Katherine has been secretly researching a big move to Austin, Texas. Is she done with Eddie for good, or does she want to bring the whole family with her? And if it's the latter, will Eddie really be willing to leave behind his baby daughter? Either way, this is big.

Finally, there's the show's golden couple. Maggie and Gary have been through a lot together already, but Maggie's latest family drama seems to be really testing their relationship. The clip shows the rare, serious side of Gary, who is trying to get Maggie to open up to him instead of hiding her feelings like she has been. But instead of confiding in Gary, Maggie is shown running off to find Eric and sob in his arms about her brother Chad. Whether Maggie's connection with Eric is a romantic one or not, it seems to be driving a wedge between her and Gary and I'm not happy about it.

With all the secrets coming to light in the promo, it looks like this episode is shaping up to be an emotional doozy. If you need me, I'll be stocking up on tissues to prepare for it.

A Million Little Things continues on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

Where To Get Kylie Jenner's "Rise & Shine" Merch & Brighten Your Whole Day

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

You never know when the next cultural phenomenon will invade the nation's every waking moment, but when it does, it does. The latest viral moment sweeping the internet? Kylie Jenner singing "Riiiiiiise and shiiiiiiiine." The seconds-long clip of Jenner waking her daughter Stormi up with this Certified Bop has been meme'd so hard, Ariana Grande wants to sample the track, Miley Cyrus stans, and Kylie Jenner herself is selling "Rise & Shine" merch. Wake up, America. The future is here, and it's come in the form of another Kardashian meme.

The viral "Rise and Shine" clip comes from a short moment in a video Jenner uploaded to her YouTube channel titled "Official Kylie Jenner Office Tour." After taking viewers throughout the office where the Jenner magic happens, the 22-year-old made a pit stop at Stormi's playroom in the office to wake her up. The video cuts to a pitch-black clip of Jenner standing beside Stormi's crib and flipping the lights on, after which Kylie sings a soulful "RiiIiiiIiiiIse and shiIiiiIiIiIne." The amount of money I would pay to have been the camera operator in that situation is almost embarrassing.

The moment in question starts at about the 15:18 mark in the video below, which has been viewed over 9 million times, meme'd even more, and, now, merch'd.

Kylie Jenner on YouTube

On the evening of Oct. 17, Jenner confirmed she was spinning this viral moment into silk when she tweeted a photo of a black sweatshirt along with a link to KylieJennerShop.com. The hoodie features the text "Riiise" on one sleeve, "Shiiinnee" on the other sleeve, and a sun with her face in it on the front. Just before that, she tweeted a photo of a different white hoodie with pink "Riiise and Shiiinnee" text, black music notes, and a pink sun with her face in it. Don't you dare ask questions about why TF I'm gonna spend almost $400 on six of these sweatshirts. That's between my therapist and me only, thanks!

Jenner was quick to drop purchase links for these hoodies while the meme is still permeating every corner of the internet, but fans, unfortunately, won't be too quick to wear them. Although the "Rise and Shine" merch ($65, KylieJennerShop.com) is available to purchase on Kylie Jenner's Shop right now, the description says the items won't ship until four to five weeks post-purchase. That's a long time to wait for meme merch, but considering the cultural impact of Jenner singing "Rise and Shine" rivals the impact of, say, cell phones on communication (I'm only, like, half kidding here), it's worth it.

As you wait for your hoodie to arrive, let the many memes of this moment, including Jenner "Rise and shine"-ing on The Voice and the "Rise and Shine" dub-step remix, fill your void. Lest we forget, the devil works hard, Kris Jenner works harder, but Kylie Jenner works the hardest.

But if you need a little assistant, think of me like your fairy godmother who's ready to help get you ready for the ball aka, whatever Halloween party you're going to with these six ideas.

As a crew, it's important to decide on something that gets all of you excited. And when Halloween rolls around, caption your group pic with something like, "We're looking like a Disney dream come true," because you will be.

These Thanksgiving Proposal Stories Are Unbelievably Heartwarming

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

When you imagine the Thanksgiving holiday, the first thing that comes to mind might be delicious food, extended family, or fall decorations. You probably dont immediately think of marriage proposals but you guys, let me tell you something here. Thanksgiving proposal stories are totally a thing, and theyre actually extremely endearing, cute, and popular. I mean, what better time to pop the question than during a time of year filled with gratitude and celebration?

Maybe Thanksgiving works so well as a proposal holiday because people are at home with their families, or on a break from their typical work week routines. Its a day dedicated to showing appreciation for what you have, so it only makes sense that couples would choose it as the ideal occasion to get engaged. If you want to include your family in the proposal, you dont have to plan a whole separate gathering for everyone to attend. The people you love are already there in one place! And if youre out doing a Turkey Trot or volunteering in your community, youre already in the spirit of joy and giving.

To further convince you that Thanksgiving proposals are where its at, Ive compiled this collection of proposal stories that all went down during the holiday of gratitude. They are truly touching, and they might just make you reframe your perspective on Thanksgiving. Sure, the pumpkin pie is great and all but also, hello, romance!

,

1. This couple wanted to get their whole community involved.

A news reporter in Marietta, Georgia tweeted out this video of a couple getting engaged right after running the Gobble Jog on Thanksgiving morning. They did a brief interview sharing what theyre thankful for, and I wont spoil it for you, but just know that my heart is bursting.

2. This woman thought she was having a totally normal family dinner.

As we all gathered around the table (and I mean my entire family), my mom immediately directed all of us to say what we were thankful for. Naturally, many of us whispered under our breaths, 'Ugh, do we have to?,' 'Can we skip this year?,' 'Can't I just email you?' Hmmm, what was I thankful for this year? Zoey (our dog), and of course Chipotle. Those were my two things, I repeat, those were my two things ... We finally got to Billy [my now-husband]. My dad filmed the entire proposal.
While I will forever be grateful for Zoey and Chipotle (duh), I can say with certainty that I am beyond thankful for my husband.

Dara, 29

3. This couple had a picture-perfect moment.

This stunning photo was captured at Munra Point in Oregon, by a photographer who happened to be wandering the area and saw the proposal go down. Since he didnt know the couple personally, he tried to track them down online to give them the photograph. Heres hoping they got to see it this ones worth framing.

4. This couple had the proposal on their own, then celebrated with family.

I got engaged the day before Thanksgiving We were outside of Chicago visiting my family, and my (now) husband had never visited the actual city. We took the train into town and had all sorts of plans to see the city, but it was a rainy/cloudy day. I figured, at least lets go to the Bean and then somewhere indoors. We took a few selfies and then decided to get one more photo which turned into his proposal! After a glass of champagne, we took the train back to my grandparents house where we shared the exciting news with family. Dinner that night was deep dish pizza and champagne in celebration.

Caroline, 27

5. This woman figured out what was happening at the last minute.

I got engaged Thanksgiving of 2018. My then-boyfriend of four years got us all to go out to a Thai restaurant in the area for dinner the day after Thanksgiving. Very appropriate because ask anyone in our families I love Thai food. Most of my immediate family and his brother were in attendance. I didnt notice anything was off until halfway through the dinner, when people started bringing out their phones to FaceTime family who werent there (this would usually be a huge no-no with my parents, FYI). Thats when my boyfriend stood me up, got down on one knee, and proposed. A year later, we'll make the Thanksgiving trip again as husband and wife.

Mackenzie, 26

6. This guy proposed at a fitness studio in front of everyone.

In this video, taken by the sister of the woman who got engaged, a man pours his heart out about meeting the love of his life at the very same gym. When he eventually proposes to her, the crowd understandably freaks out.

7. This woman was sad her boyfriend hadnt proposed yet, but she had no idea what he was planning.

I wanted to marry my husband from the moment I locked eyes with him while we were in college in 2014. Imagine my disappointment when, three years into dating, we were not married or even engaged. A few days before Thanksgiving in 2017, I broke down (quite dramatically) over the fact that we were not engaged. At the time, he gave me an answer I didn't want to hear (little did I know, he was planning to propose a few days later, and I was making things very complicated for him)
Finally, the day of the proposal came, and I was the one foiling his plans, not wanting to go to the place he picked out. He eventually made the executive decision that we would be going to this cute cobblestone village. He started his speech while I was walking away from him with zero clue what was going on, but I eventually caught on. My initial response was, 'Are you serious?' To which he said, 'Yes.' Of course, I said yes. It was an emotional few days, but some of the fondest memories I have.

Morgan, 25

8. Two words: Lena Waithe!

Little-known fact: TV screenwriter Lena Waithe, who starred in the Netflix series Master of None, got engaged to her fiance Alana Mayo on Thanksgiving Day in 2017, while they were on a trip to Tokyo. She shared the news on the Homophilia podcast a few weeks later. The funny thing is, it was actually super chill cause even though I am very over the top, my lovely lady is like the opposite," Waithe revealed. It was just like in the morning, in the bed, no string, but, you know, it was super low-key.

9. This guy included his dog in the proposal.

Id known for months that I wanted to propose to my now-fianc, Jesse, on Thanksgiving since thats when my parents got married, and I knew his whole family would be on hand that day. We had just run a five-mile turkey trot with our dog, Ernie, before we took him to play in a park near Jesses aunt and uncles house ... I thought me asking to go to the park was a bit suspicious, since it was wed just run a race and it was 14 degrees outside with several inches of fresh snow on the ground. But Jesse thankfully went with it.
When we got to the park, I threw a tennis ball around with Ernie while Jesse stood nearby stretching and shivering. After a couple of minutes, I took a tennis ball that Id cut open and slipped the ring inside out of my pocket and ran over to Jesse. With a surprised look on my face I exclaimed, 'Whoa, look what Ernie did to this tennis ball! And theres something inside' Jesse looked on as I dropped to one knee, said a few memorized lines as naturally as I could while shivering, and asked him to marry me. He said yes, and we quickly left the park and drove home, where his family was waiting to all celebrate together.

Zach, 35

10. This guy proposed at the finish line of a race.

This guy recruited a team to hold up signs that said, Yvette, will you marry me? He even had to take a post-race banana from her hand so he could put the ring on.

11. This couple shares a special attachment to the Thanksgiving holiday.

My now-husband and I met each other almost six years ago on the day after Thanksgiving, he proposed to me the day after Thanksgiving on our four year anniversary, and we got married last year the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving has always been special to us as the start of the holiday season, and we love that it has even more meaning now! We are almost to one year of married life, and it has been absolutely incredible! Also, this year, the day after Thanksgiving is November 29, which is six years to the date from when we first met. So crazy and amazing.

Sline, 27

12. This couple announced their engagement to family... and got married right then and there.

Ten years ago, we invited immediate family for a Thanksgiving dinner at our Old Town Chicago townhouse, which fit two long tables, albeit very tightly. As everyone gathered, Matt announced, 'We have two announcements One is we are getting married.' He paused for dramatic effect. Everyone cheered, thinking this was an engagement. 'The second is we are doing it this instant!'
Roger [a family friend] performed a very nice ceremony ... We stomped on a glass, and I went back to the kitchen to finish cooking, and everyone buzzed around greeting each other with 'Mazel Tovs' ... My husband and I were wrought with anxiety and worry about our familys reaction ... Instead, it was the happiest I had ever seen any of them, and theyve been telling this story to everyone theyve met for the last 10 years.

Julie, 38

These proposals are all very different, designed to fit the unique personalities and wishes of each couple. But what they all share is a connection to the Thanksgiving holiday. As you prepare to celebrate with family and friends this year, think of the endless opportunities to show love to others. And hey! Maybe someone you know will pop the question to their partner, exactly when everyone is least expecting it.

Is Cody Simpson's "Golden Thing" About Miley Cyrus? It's So Romantic

Hi, hello, have you listened to Cody Simpsons new song yet? Golden Thing dropped on Oct. 18, and oh my goodness, fam it is the sweetest! From the looks of things, Cody Simpsons Golden Thing is about Miley Cyrus, whom hes been dating publicly for a few weeks now. Its a soft, romantic ballad that gives off all the peaceful vibes, and it provides new clues about their blossoming relationship. Simpson and Cyrus may have fallen for each other quickly, but their bond is clearly super strong.

Simpson has been teasing Golden Thing for a few days now, dropping bits of lyrics on Twitter and asking fans to pre-save it. On Oct. 15, he shared the cover art, which looks an awful lot like a close-up photo of Cyrus. Even Cyrus herself cant get enough of the song she commented emotional on the Instagram post (which, like, same). As it turns out, she was the impetus for Simpson to release Golden Thing as a single, after he wrote it for her while she was in the hospital recovering from tonsillitis surgery. She was like, If you dont put this sh*t out, Im putting it out on your behalf for you, Simpson told People on Oct. 12. Its something I wrote for her while she was sick this week.

The songs lyrics are heartfelt and lovely, describing small details of Simpsons relationship with Cyrus. Crystal dream / Cali queen / Radiant hand / Vibrant sand, he croons, followed by the chorus, Im shot / Its a golden thing shes got. The third verse reveals how much he admires Cyrus (and hints that maybe hes been wanting them to date for awhile?), as he sings, Diamond throne / All on her own / Coffee skin / She let me in. Toward the end of the song, Simpson sings, Shouted the words / In the first daylight / And the chorus of birds / Burst on into sight. This naturally makes one wonder what words did he shout? Is he referring to how he and Cyrus went from friends to romantic partners? Has he already said I love you? I have so many questions here.

Regardless, fans are loving Golden Thing because it shows how happy Cyrus and Simpson are together. Twitter has been blowing up with people reacting to the song and wishing the best for this new couple.

Simpson told People that he and Cyrus are very, very happy together. Shes creative. Shes very passionate about what she does, and Im very similar in that sense. Thats why we get along so well We just have a ball, yeah, and thats the most important part of a relationship, you know? He said their romance unfolded naturally from their long-enduring friendship. The reason why it hasnt been a really crazy sudden thing is just because weve been friends for so long, Simpson explained, saying they found each other again in a space where were both not partying, working real hard, and it just keeps things healthy and its good.

I can only hope that Cyrus will release a song about Simpson next. With how quickly yet intensely things are progressing for them, it wouldnt be all that surprising. I always love a couple who inspires one another creatively, and it seems like Cyrus and Simpson are doing just that. Theyve got a golden thing going, for sure.

Pete Davidson & Margaret Qualley Reportedly Broke Up & I’m Shook

Once upon a time in Hollywood, a prolific comedian and a breakout star reportedly met and began quietly dating. But this story doesn't end in happily ever after, because after a short-lived rumored romance, Pete Davidson and Margaret Qualley reportedly broke up, according to Page Six. The source claims the pair didn't end on bad terms, telling the magazine that Davidson and Qualley plan to "remain friends" after the breakup. (Elite Daily reached out to both Davidson and Qualley's teams for comment on the rumored split, but didn't hear back by time of publication.)

US Weekly first broke the news of pair's rumored romance on Aug. 28, with a source reporting that the Saturday Night Live actor, 25, and the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress, 24, had been seeing each other for several months. Although neither publicly confirmed their reported relationship, Qualley's mother, actress Andie MacDowell, did the honors for her. On Sept. 29, MacDowell told PEOPLE that although she hadn't yet met Davidson herself, that her and her daughter have a "nice relationship."

I FaceTimed with Pete the other day or no, she took a video of me to send to Pete thats what it was, MacDowell said. "She has a beautiful relationship with him but I dont want to step on her relationship too much.

Davidson isn't usually one to keep his relationships low-profile.In 2018, the comedian was engaged to pop star Ariana Grande, and their whirlwind romance was publicly documented. In fact, Davidson was quick to joke about it during his standup on SNL and Grande even named a song after her fianc on her album, Sweetner. When the two decided to say "thank u, next" in Oct. 2018, Davidson was linked to actress Kate Beckinsale, with whom he was photographed in an intense makeout session in public at a hockey game. But the two called it quits after about four months of dating. Qualley is the first person Davidson has been linked to since then, but the two appeared determined to keep it hush-hush, despite traveling to Venice together, where the actress was promoting the film Seberg, which screened at the Venice Film Festival.

Qualley has generated buzz for starring in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Emile Hirsch, Austin Butler, Dakota Fanning, Al Pacino, and more. The rising star most recently received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Limited Series Or Movie for her role in Fosse/Verdon.

Davidson recently returned to join his fellow cast members on SNL Season 45, after missing the first two episodes due to a shooting conflict with the new Suicide Squad movie, which is set to be directed by James Gunn and co-stars Margot Robbie.

4 E-Girl Costumes For Halloween & Bringing Your Internet #Look To Life

Image may be NSFW.

The latest fad in the world of social media and the Internet is TikTok. By now, I'm sure you've heard of this popular app and know it's a space where everyone, from teens to celebs, can start viral trends and show off their inner e-boy or e-girl. You may even be on the hunt for e-girl costumes for Halloween, or consider yourself to be this kind of person based on your #look.

You may rock multicolor hair IRL and in the videos you post, or dress up in oversized band T-shirts and wing your eyeliner. According to Buzzfeed.com, you may also draw a little heart on your face and put some extra blush on your cheeks so you're channeling your favorite anime characters, because why not? Arguably, that's one of the most beautiful thing about being an e-girl: your unwavering ability to be confident, bold, and express yourself and what you're passionate about in life as much as possible.

It might be why you've attracted a ton of hearts and adoring fans, too. You're part of this extremely cool club, and it's about time you bring your Internet #look to life. These four Halloween costume ideas will make it happen for sure.

,

1. An Anime Character

What I've come to understand about e-girls, it's that they basically look like the characters from some of the most popular anime shows. E-girls might rock blush that makes their cheeks look warm and cute, bangs, and slightly-winged eyeliner. In addition, they may have dyed their hair a saturated tone of purple or pink.

You can easily recreate the look on Halloween by doing your own makeup and hair like so. You can also wear an outfit that an anime character would, like a crewneck sweatshirt with a cat on it, or a black tank with a choker and some other necklaces layered with it. If you have a pair of cat ears, a super cozy flannel, or a vintage skirt, now is the time to rock those pieces, too.

2. A Band Fan

Do you have a band tee in your closet? I hope so if you want to be an e-girl for Halloween. These kind of girls may style them into their outfits by wearing them with long sleeves and high-waisted boyfriend jeans.

Embrace that look and pair it with a curly set of braids, glasses, and some Dr. Martens boots for a trendy and comfy costume on Oct. 31. You may even want to pick up a chunky chain necklace or a pair of net stockings to put under your jeans. When you arrive at the party in your full #look, everyone will instantly know that you're a classic band fan or a modern-day e-girl.

3. A '90s Girl

If you're an avid fan of Friends and other television shows from the '90s, then you may constantly believe you were born in the wrong generation. You may have all kinds of clothes that are typical of that decade that e-girls on TikTok would wear on their days off from filming videos and raking in the views. Pull them out on Halloween and transform yourself into a girl from the era of skateboarders, scrunchies, and butterfly clips.

In fact, pick up those items (if you don't already own them) and make them part of your #look. Walk into your bestie's place with overalls on, or your hair clipped backed with colorful and fun accessories. Then, take lots of pics or a video for TikTok with your crew to show the world your rad Halloween costume.

4. A TikTok User

Last but not least, some might say the e-girl trend was born on TikTok. So being a TikTok user for Halloween is incredibly appropriate. Not to mention, it gives you the opportunity to channel your favorite creators.

To put together this costume, pick a viral user and build your #look around them. Get the rainbow wig they wore, or be creative and a walking (or dancing) version of a challenge like the #gitupchallenge. Take it to an e-girl level and create the #egirlfactory trend in real life. Rock some fake freckles and dark lipstick, and pose for every photo with your TikTok app open and facing the camera lens.

This Video Of Meghan Markle Reacting To Negative Press Will Break Your Heart

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

On Friday, Oct. 18, British TV channel ITV released a clip of a Meghan Markle interview from its the upcoming documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. The exclusive interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is set to be released in the UK on Sunday, Oct. 20. It will feature the royal couple's recent trip to Africa, but most importantly, it will provide a closer look at how the couple is doing in their personal lives. I'll tell you, this video of Meghan Markle reacting to negative press will break your heart.

The public is well aware of the recent announcement made by Prince Harry that he and Markle would be suing The Mail on Sunday over alleged "relentless propaganda" against his wife over the years. The Mail on Sunday gave a statement to BuzzFeed News at the time, saying that the publication "will be defending this case vigorously."

In his Oct. 1 statement, Prince Harry went on to say, "My wife has become one of the latest victims of a British tabloid press that wages campaigns against individuals with no thought to the consequences a ruthless campaign that has escalated over the past year, throughout her pregnancy and while raising our newborn son." Harry compared the relentless negative media against Meghan Markle to how his late mother, Princess Diana, was treated, admitting, "I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces." Elite Daily reached out to DMG Media for further comment on Prince Harry's complaint, but did not hear back by the time of publication. Not only was Harry's Oct. 1 official statement about the lawsuit heartbreaking, but eye-opening to just how poorly the media can portray the royal family.

Image may be NSFW.

The exclusive clip from the upcoming ITV interview makes it clear how much the press has affected Meghan Markle. Although it's just over a minute of footage, it gets real pretty fast. Interviewer and anchor for ITV News at Ten, Tom Bradby, questioned the Markle on her experience with the tabloids, but the clip only shows a glimpse of what she must feel when dealing with false information in the press.

In the clip, Bradby first mentioned Harry's concern, saying, "He's obviously very concerned about protecting you, and protecting you from what he felt his mother went through. It's obviously an area one has to tiptoe into very gently." Then, he went on to refer to the personal stress Meghan Markle must be under, asking in a way that was so gentle and kind: "But I don't know what the impact [is] on your physical and mental health of all the pressure that you clearly feel under."

Meghan took a moment, and you can see that she's immediately feeling shocked that she was asked the question. After taking a moment, she shared: "I would say... look any woman, especially when they're pregnant, you're really vulnerable and so, that was made really challenging. And then when you have a newborn, you know?" The video goes on to show the Markle nearly in tears when thinking about the negative press. She talks motherhood and reiterates that the spotlight can be "a lot." After getting emotional, she explained:

So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed ... it's a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.

You can watch the full clip, below:

Clearly, she felt emotional about the ordeal, and she later took a moment to comment to Bradby, saying, "and also, thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if I'm OK." Bradby asked if it would be "fair to say [Markle] is not really OK," and she simply answered, "Yes."

Seriously, the ITV clip of Markle will make you feel for her. It's clear that she's upset by the whole ordeal. Who could blame her? When the full interview airs on Sunday, Oct. 20, hopefully royal watchers can get a little more insight into happier times, too. ABC will also be airing Harry & Meghan: An African Journey for U.S. viewers on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 10 p.m. ET.

7 Dates Earth Signs Will Love That’ll Bring Out Their Inner Romantic

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

Earth signs are the under-appreciated romantics of the zodiac, largely because they tend to express love and affection in more practical actions over words. As a result, they don't get the same kind of appreciation more overly passionate elements like fire and water do. But don't sleep on earth signs, because they actually have a hidden romantic side worth bringing out. All it takes is inviting them on dates earth signs will love.

While Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn are very different in some respects, one common quality they share is their discerning tastes. As such, it might seem like organizing a date thats up to their standards would be challenging. But while they can be very particular and picky about certain things, deep down earth signs are true romantics just waiting to break out of their practical and regimented shells. To be fair, Taurus is pretty openly romantic thanks to their connection to Venus. In their case, it's about proving you're at their level, and thats actually easier than you might think.

Because earth signs are grounded, homey, and little bit traditional, it can be easy for these folks to fall into a dating rut. Even signs that love routine need to spice it up from time to time. So, whether you're going on a first date with an earth sign or trying to change things up a bit, these date ideas are just the kinds of activities that bring out the softer side of this element.

,

Go for A Wine, Craft Beer, Or Whiskey Tasting

Earth signs tend to fancy themselves as people with refined palates and a taste for the best things in life. They also love to learn new things they can show off later, so a tasting tour hits all the right notes. Plus, getting a little tipsy can help Capricorn chill out come out of their shell a bit faster.

A Spa Day With A Couples' Massage

Earth signs are very tactile, and have an appreciation for the finer things in life. Even prudent Capricorn, can appreciate being pampered for they day. If you want your earth sign partner to feel the love, show them what a VIP you think they are.

Plan The Perfect Night In

Earth signs are serious homebodies. Home is cozy, safe, and if you're dating a Taurus, probably pretty luxe. Go ahead and lean into it by planning the perfect night in with your earth sign bae. Make a gourmet dinner together or order delivery from their favorite restaurant. Then pick a movie to snuggle up to. (Bonus points if the movie is a documentary.)

Have A Picnic In A Botanical Garden

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

Because of their earth element connection, these signs have an affinity for nature. They are the natural gardeners of the zodiac, so being surrounded by nature is a great way to bring out their softer and more romantic side. Plan a day strolling through a garden with a stop for a picnic in the park, and watch them get wooed in real time.

Visit An Art Show Or Museum

Earth signs have a keen aesthetic eye and an appreciation for art. Plus, they love the opportunity to discuss their opinions and lean into the intellectual side. Spending a day at an art gallery is a lovely, relaxing way to enjoy quality time with an earth sign. Pick one with a cafe where you can spend some time discussing the art and sipping cappuccinos afterward.

Take In The Earth's Beauty With A Hike

Again, nature! Going outside is one of the best ways to get to an earth signs heart beating. A gentle hike with a view or hitting the beach to watch the waves crash against the shore are both super romantic to these grounded signs.

Splurge On A Decadent Dessert

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

Just because earth signs have bougie tastes, doesn't mean you have to burst the budget impressing one. If going to a five-star restaurant is out of your price range, no problem. Instead of opting for a big, fancy meal, find a local patisserie that serves incredible desserts and splurge on two or three to share.

Honestly, the key to planning the perfect date for an earth sign is just about making them feel special and taken care of. These signs tend to be the caretakers for the people they love, so having that role reversed for a night can really allow them to relax, open up, and feel the love.

If You Can't Answer ‘Yes’ To These 5 Questions, She's Not The One

Love is complicated. How do you know if the woman youre with now is the one you should spend your life loving? Do you just know, or are there practical questions you should be asking yourself? Is there some sort of checklist or guide? In many ways, I wish there was a directory of the signs to look out for. And if you cant answer yes to these questions, youd know for sure that youre not with your soulmate.

"When you ask the question, 'Is your partner the only one for you?', what you are really asking (and should be asking) is 'Is your partner the right one for you?'" Dr. Terri Orbuch, Ph.D., author of Finding Love Again: 6 Simple Steps to a New and Happy Relationship and professor at Oakland University in Michigan, previously told Elite Daily.

Love can seem mysterious, and, in some cases, even impossible to define. People often say that words fail to appropriately capture love. I, for one, believe that love is a natural, logical result of two compatible souls meeting. The real question is: Whats just right?

Read on for the five questions to ask yourself in order to find out if your partner is or isnt the one.

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

1. Has your life gotten better?

Are you happier? Do you have a better outlook on life? Do your problems feel more manageable? If all of this rings true, you may very well be with "the one."

the one is the person that inspires you to be the best version of yourself at any given stage," online dating coach Andi Forness previously told Elite Daily.

2. Do they make you smile?

If they do, then you may be in love and thats really the most important sign.

"You dont want to just be good roommates, Tammy Nelson, Ph.D., a certified sex and couples therapist, TEDx speaker, and author of The New Monogamy, previously told Elite Daily. You want to be in love."

If you feel happy just being reminded of them, then what you have found may be true love. If the thought of them makes your day a little better, then you may have a keeper on your hands.

3. Can you talk for hours?

If youve met the one, its crucial that you and your partner can engage in stimulating conversation.

"No matter what the topic is, you and your SO seem to flow," NYC relationship expert Susan Winter previously told Elite Daily. "There's an innate sense of ease and intellectual dimension. You find you no longer have to keep your conversation harnessed to specific subjects."

4. Are they there for you?

The key to finding an amazing life partner is finding someone who is truly your partner. Are they there for you when you need them to be? Do they support you, motivate you and keep you on track?

"Dedication to the relationship is important but support and willingness to see your partner grow, change, and mature is critical," Dr. Joshua Klapow previously told Elite Daily. "We all bring our own individual trajectory to a relationship and willingness to support that is a sign of relationship health."

5. Have they opened up to you?

It takes some people longer to open up than others, even with the people they truly care about. Everyone's expression of love is unique, but shared vulnerability can build a strong foundation for a relationship to blossom.

"'The one' makes you feel loved and secure, Lesli Doares, couples consultant and marriage coach at Foundations Coaching, previously told Elite Daily. "You are able to be yourself and feel accepted. They make you want to be your best self and they bring that out in you. You don't feel scared of their reaction if you want to tell them something that may be hard, either to say or for them to hear. There is balance in how you interact."

Hulu's 'Looking For Alaska' Soundtrack Will Warm Your 2000s-Loving Heart

If you read John Green's quintessential coming-of-age book Looking For Alaska growing up, you probably already know you're in for a huge dose of nostalgia when you tune into Hulu to watch the new limited series with the same name. But from the very first scene of the series, it's clear just how nostalgic the show really is, thanks in large part to all the 2000s-era songs packed into the episodes. Hulu's Looking For Alaska soundtrack is full of throwbacks that perfectly set the mood, and you'll be wanting to play all the fun bops and moody ballads on repeat long after you've finished the show.

Set in 2005, the same year the book originally came out, Looking For Alaska is a classic YA tale of a misfit teen, his eye-opening experiences at his new boarding school, and the tragic death of the girl he loved. The eight-episode limited series is equal parts dramatic and funny, heartbreaking and uplifting, and the music reflects all of these vibes the way only early-aughts jams truly can. No matter how old you were in 2005, many of the songs played in the show are bound to make you feel some type of way.

According to Billboard, the show's creators wanted to choose songs that evoked the time period of the show, while also putting a spotlinght on newer artists. Looking for Alaska is such a beautiful, timeless coming-of-age story, Alexandra Patsavas, the series' music supervisor, said to Billboard. The mix of songs in the show speaks to that timelessness, by combining original artists from the era with current versions of the eras best by some of the most important new artists of 2019.

The official Looking For Alaska soundtrack is available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music now, and features 14 songs from the series:

  1. "So Here We Are" Bloc Party
  2. "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" Miya Folick (Death Cab For Cutie cover)
  3. "Ask Me Anything" The Strokes
  4. "To Be Alone With You" Fleurie (Sufjan Stevens cover)
  5. "Crosses" Jos Gonzlez
  6. "Orange Sky" Kat Cunning (Alexi Murdoch cover)
  7. "Macarena" Beginners (Los Del Rio Bayside Boys Remix Cover)
  8. "With Arms Outstretched" Rilo Kiley
  9. "Salvation" Bailen (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club cover)
  10. "The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth" Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
  11. "Take Me Out" Young Summer (Franz Ferdinand cover)
  12. "An Honest Mistake" Mating Ritual (feat. Lizzy Land) (The Bravery cover)
  13. "The World at Large" Modest Mouse
  14. "Looking for Alaska Score Suite" Siddhartha Khosla

But those aren't the only songs that are going to delight lovers of the early 2000s; pretty much every episode is guaranteed to hit you in the feels with a blast from the past. I won't give away all the amazing music moments for those who haven't yet seen the show, but I will tease a particularly joyful scene when OutKast's "The Way You Move" plays during a montage of basketball games. Like the series as a whole, it's a much-welcome dose of nostalgia.

All eight episodes of Looking For Alaska are available on Hulu now.

That leaves you little-to-no time to come up with cider mill captions for Instagram and doing all the fun fall things.

I understand the rush of emotions you may be experiencing right now. You might be contemplating the afternoons at the orchard, nights at haunted trails, and weekend trips to the mountains, and are wondering when you're going to check those items off your autumn to-do list. 5 Signs Your Relationship Is Moving Too Fast, According To Experts

Clik here to view.

Being in a relationship can be amazing, and nothing can compare to the feeling of being swept off your feet. But when you fall head-over-heels for someone fast, and there's just no going back, it can be scary. Some relationships take time to build into something special, and that's totally normal, but whirlwind love is exhilarating which is part of what makes it so appealing. So, even though you may be happy moving fast, these signs your relationship is moving too fast might be the wake-up call you need to reevaluate the pace you and bae are taking.

We've already established that some relationships move quicker than others. You might be ready for marriage or a move-in after a year, or three years, or never! But if moving forward or taking a big step doesn't feel right, it might be because you're moving too fast. Because really, everyone deserves to be happy, but that doesn't necessarily mean you should dive head-first into a relationship that might be developing at an unhealthy pace.

While there are plenty of movies and television shows that show couples falling hard and fast and everything falling perfectly into place, that isn't always real life. As author, relationship and etiquette expert April Masini tells Elite Daily, a lot of couples who get together too quickly can end up not lasting. "Whirlwind romances are very exciting but many times they leave a trail of destruction in their wake as they wind down and fail," she says. "When people get too involved, too quickly, they tend not to get to know each other. Ive seen people spend more time researching a car purchase than someone theyre going to have sex with and then move in with."

So even though you might be totally into this person, if you're having lingering feelings that you're moving too fast, you might want to check out these signs. After all, it's better to know now than down the line when you have more of yourself invested.

,

1. You haven't had those serious discussions.

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

Even though it can be scary at times, if you're jumping into a relationship with someone, there are some important talks you should have along the way. According to Masini, not having those conversations could mean you're moving too fast.

"You should talk about your hopes and dreams, your past, your debt, your feelings about kids, family, lifestyles, religion, and more," she tells Elite Daily. "When you dont, these issues come up later, and can be deal breakers." Talk it out, because if you're in a serious relationship, then you should probably have these important discussions before taking the next step whatever that looks like for you.

2. It's all physical.

Listen, sex is great. And you should be having as much of it as you want to, as long as it's consensual. But, if you want a more serious relationship, and all you two are doing is getting it on, that could be a sign of a relationship that's moving too fast.

"Chemistry is very powerful and when couples have great sex and a lot of it too early, they get blinded by the romance," Masini says. "This keeps them from seeing pitfalls and deficits that a person brings to the relationship. Chemistry is awesome, but its not enough to keep a relationship alive over the long run. And, its often the reason people rush."

So look beyond the butterflies and the sex, because it may be a sign your relationship is moving too quickly.

3. You haven't met their friends or family.

Obviously, at some point in your relationship, you're going to meet each other's friends and family. But, Masini says that when this happens is important. It shouldn't be too soon, but it should still take place eventually.

"While there are always exceptions, speed causes you to miss things," she says. "You cant see everything when youre moving super fast. You need time in a relationship to meet each others friends and family." So take a deep breath, and try to see where you both are when it comes to meeting friends and family. It's a big step, but depending on when it happens, you might be moving too fast.

4. You haven't gone through something difficult together.

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

Another indication that you and your partner are moving too fast is that you've gotten really serious, yet you haven't been through anything serious together. "You need to see if your partner is someone you can count on in a car accident, or a hurricane, or how they react when your flight is cancelled, you spend too much and debt is disclosed," Masini says. "When you rush into a relationship you lose the opportunities that time affords you."

5. You aren't following a timeline.

If you're serious about a future together, then you and your partner should have a discussion about where you see yourselves in the next few years. According to Masini, following a timeline is a good idea to pace your relationship.

"I have a set of time guidelines that I always recommend: Use the first three months of dating to decide if you want to continue seeing each other," she explains. "If you both do, then use the second three months of dating to decide if you want to be monogamous. If you both do than use the next six months of dating to decide if you want to commit to moving in together or marriage."

Of course, this isn't a timeline that you have to live or die by, but it's a good estimate of how fast healthy relationships should move. If you're exceeding that pace, you might be moving too fast.

The thing is, every relationship is different, but you certainly don't want to dive into something too hard, too fast, and get hurt in the end because of it. So, take some time to evaluate how fast your relationship is moving, and don't be afraid to speak up if you're worried things are developing too fast. Above all else, you need to do what's best for you, and if a relationship that's moving too fast isn't working, address it.

This New Uber Eats Pickup Feature Will Make Dinner Plans So Easy

I know, sometimes you really want to get food from Uber Eats, but then you remember that there's a delivery fee, and you aren't so sure that you feel like paying extra just so you can stay on your couch. Or, maybe you're already out and about, and you want the convenience of getting takeout, but you don't want to wait in line to order it. I know, it's silly but sometimes I'm just trying to get my food without much social interaction. If you can relate, you'll definitely want to know about this new Uber Eats Pickup feature.

Beginning on Friday, Oct. 18, Uber Eats is now offering a chance to skip the delivery process and fees with the nationwide release of pickup. This means you can go directly to the Uber Eats app, and instead of delivery, you can select the option for pickup at the top. Then, you just place your order as your normally would within the app, and confirm that you will be able to pick up the food at the restaurant.

The release nationwide means that if your area has Uber Eats access, then you are able to order pickup from the participating pickup locations. Obviously, not every restaurant may have opted in for the Uber Eats Pickup feature yet, but you should be able to find locations in your area that have.

Ordering using the Pickup feature on the Uber Eats app is just as easy as ordering delivery. You'll be prompted with a little window and then led to the pickup options for your area.

Furthermore, Uber Eats has created a Pickup Guides via JUMP. What does that mean? Well, these new Pickup Guides are meant to give riders a "new way... to enjoy restaurants in their cities while getting around with JUMP," per the official Uber Eats press release. The guides work to create a mapped out version of which locations have Uber Eats Pickup in the big city. I think the coolest part about these JUMP guides are honestly how easy it makes it to tour a big city you've never been to and have a foodie tour. Or, you can simply take advantage of pickup compatible restaurants you've never really eaten at and bring the food home. And obviously, if you're a creature of habit like myself, you can also just get food from the same place once a week without paying those delivery fees.

What cities have these Uber Eats Pickup Guides with JUMP? As of Oct. 18, there are only six cities to have these guides: Austin, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, Sacramento, and Washington DC. If only I was out visiting my fam in Austin, I would be so be taking advantage and grabbing an Impossible Burger option from Hopdoddy's. That just means I'll have to make the trip sooner, rather than later.

Since Uber Eats just launched these Pickup Guides, there are some sweet deals you can snag if you're in one of the cities with the JUMP guides. The official announcement lists two cool promo codes that you can take advantage of now:

  • If you've never used JUMP before, you can get up to $5 off your first bike or scooter ride. To use it, open your Uber app and enter "JUMPEATS19" in your payments. This code is good through Dec. 18, 2019. To verify, make sure you see up to $5 off in your checkout. And please do note that after the $5 credit is used, you'll be charged the usual per-minute rate in your area.
  • You can also get $3 off your pickup order. So, make sure you enter the promo code "JUMPEATS19" in the Uber Eats app to secure that deal. The promo should work for up to 5 different pickup orders, but only at participating restaurant locations. You can check to see if it's a participating location via the Uber Eats app at checkout.

I'm so stoked to try out this new feature from Uber Eats, because I have to say, I definitely want to save money on my takeout. And once the company releases Uber Eats Pickup Guides for my city, you bet I'll be hopping on a JUMP for my own little foodie tour.

1 In 5 Teens Can't Afford Period Products, According To A Heartbreaking New Survey

Oct. 19 marks the first annual National Period Day, and around the world, many people still don't have access to the menstrual hygiene products or sanitary conditions they need and the United States is no exception. According to the new State of the Period survey released on Oct. 17 by menstrual nonprofit PERIOD and period underwear company Thinx, one in five teens can't afford period products in the United States. For these teens, this menstrual inequity can result in stress, missed class time, risks of infection, and other devastating repercussions, per the survey.

The results are staggering. Of the 1,000 U.S. teens ages 13 to 19 who were surveyed via the an online poll between Aug. 5 and 16, 2019, 61% reported that they had worn pads or tampons for more than the recommended four hours due to lack of access to menstrual hygiene products. Keeping a pad or tampon on for too long can render people vulnerable to infection and toxic shock syndrome (TSS). The study, commissioned by Thinx, also found that one in four teens have missed part or all of a class because they were unable to access necessary period products. According to CBS News, these statistics all exemplify period poverty, which describes the inability to access menstrual hygiene products, clean water, and other necessities due to a lack of sufficient income.

In recent years, activists both in the United States and around the world have worked to combat period poverty in an effort to achieve menstrual equity, so that every menstruating person can access the resources they need when they're on their period. One of these activists is 21-year-old Nadya Okamoto, a junior at Harvard University and the co-founder and executive director of PERIOD. Okamoto tells Elite Daily that she founded PERIOD after realizing just how difficult it was for low-income people and people experiencing homelessness to access menstrual hygiene products.

"I started Googling and learning that periods are the No. 1 reason why girls miss school in developing countries, but also being a leading cause of absenteeism for girls in the U.S.," Okamoto recalls. When people don't have access to pads, tampons, or other menstrual hygiene products, they often resort to makeshift management techniques, like socks or toilet paper, none of which are comfortable or sanitary, as Okamoto explains. What's more, as of 2014 the year that Okamoto and then-classmate Vincent Forand founded PERIOD 40 states in the U.S. imposed a sales tax on period products, though efforts from activists have brought that number down to 35 as of 2019.

Menstrual care does become a matter of dignity.

According to the survey from Thinx and PERIOD, a lack of access to period products contributes to increased stigma around menstruation, lower rates of classroom productivity, and increased stress for students who already have so much on their plates. The study also found that despite the pervasiveness of menstrual inequity, 83% of the teens surveyed feel that this lack of access to menstrual hygiene products is not sufficiently discussed or addressed in the classroom.

Consequently, 79% of the teens surveyed reported wanting more in-depth education on menstrual health in schools. According to Okamato, PERIOD is trying to combat the stigma around periods by improving how people are educated on the topic.

"The health of your vagina is something that is very personal but also something I think that were still trying to get people to be more educated about, know what questions to ask," Okamoto explains. "And I think that menstrual hygiene management all the way to managing any symptoms of period pain and PMS is something were really trying to work on with our educational program."

A 2019 study from Saint Louis Universitys College for Public Health and Social Justice found that 46% of women surveyed in St. Louis, Missouri, often had to choose between buying food and period products because they could not afford both. In Okamoto's view, the Thinx and St. Louis studies make something clear beyond a doubt: To achieve menstrual equity, everyone needs to be talking about and educating themselves on periods and menstrual hygiene. That's why PERIOD and Thinx are calling on Congress to pass legislation allowing period products to be covered by Medicaid and pre-tax flexible spending accounts. The survey release also calls on Congress to pass the Menstrual Equity for All Act (H.R. 1882), which would require schools to provide free menstrual products to students who need them and create guidelines to promote access to menstrual products for people experiencing homelessness and for incarcerated people.

In addition to advocating for legislative policies that would make period products more accessible in schools, shelters, and prisons, PERIOD and Thinx both want to remedy existing gaps in education around periods in order to eliminate stigma and shame.

"Menstrual care does become a matter of dignity and feeling clean, confident, and capable whether or not youre menstruating," Okamoto says. "Its a human right to be able to discover and reach your full potential regardless of a natural need, and I think thats really where the passion for our work comes from."
