When I first heard about Katy Keene, the new CW show taking place in the same universe as Riverdale, I immediately began preparing myself for something dark. And once I found out Lucy Hale a queen of the eerie teen drama genre was starring in the project, I was convinced there had to be a spooky element to it. However, instead of creepy characters and heart-pounding mysteries, the upcoming series promises uplifting storylines about fashion, friendship, and following your dreams. In fact, Lucy Hale says she hopes Katy Keene will be a source of both comfort and inspiration to viewers a far cry from the moody themes of Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars.

Expected to premiere in early 2020, Katy Keene will focus on the titular character and her group of friends who are all trying to make it in New York. Theres Katy (Hale), who is an aspiring fashion designer; Josie (yes, that Josie, Ashleigh Murray), who left Riverdale to pursue her music career in the big city, Jorge (Jonny Beauchamp), a highly talented triple threat and drag queen, and Pepper (Julia Chan), an ambitious it-girl with a mysterious background. Though the show centers on Katy, fans should expect to learn a lot more about her besties and the other interesting characters who are in her and her friends lives as the series goes on.

During Katy Keenes world premiere at the Tribeca TV Festival, Hale explains some exciting details about this project to Elite Daily. It just leaves you feeling so optimistic about life and whatever dreams and goals you have, she says. Each of the characters of the show has a specific endgame, end goal, dream.

Hale reveals she feels particularly close to the show because she sees a lot of herself in Katy. I moved to LA at a really young age with my mom. For a while, [I was] trying to become an actor and just auditioning, hearing no all the time, and so I see this struggle. she says. I see myself in Katie because Ive been there I know what shes going through and our stories are so similar. Its so cool to tap into that.

Beyond the characters ambition, there is still a lot about Katy Keene to look forward to. In addition to watching the group of friends pursue their careers, fans will also get to follow along while the characters live their lives as young and fun residents of the Big Apple. It sounds, as Hale puts it, like the show will be a nice escape from reality. Theres so much crazy stuff happening in the world right now, this show will make you feel really good, she says.

Of course, fans cant help but wonder what other fun stuff Katy Keene has in store for them. While she cant say much the show is still in the process of filming its first season, after all Hale reveals her high hopes for a chance to sing in the new series. I know Josie is sort of the singer of the show, but I think almost every actor in the show is musical, so Id be shocked if we didnt all, at some point, burst into song, she says. So maybe Katy Keene will have some things in common with Riverdale after all.

Ahh! I can't believe the day is finally here, but Jackson Wang has officially released his new single "Bullet To The Heart," along with its accompanying music video. The song is so different than anything Wang has released before and the music video is equally as captivating. It's short (it runs just under three minutes), but trust me, your eyes will be glued to every second of Jackson Wang's "Bullet To The Heart" music video, because it's super intense.

The video shows Wang struggling in a straight jacket as he's flung around the room by a mysterious women in a black veil. I admit, I don't know exactly what's going on in the video (does black veil lady have super powers? Because it seems like she has super powers), but all I know is the video is amazing and you need to drop everything you're doing right now and go watch it.

Wang released the music video on Sept. 24, after just announcing it days before on Sept. 20. Wang teased the release by posting some cryptic pictures and videos that showed him struggling in a straight jacket. Underneath those posts, Wang posted a countdown to Sept. 24 that teased the release of "Bullet To The Heart." Fans didn't know if that meant Wang was releasing a new single or album, but his hashtags in his posts said it all. (He literally said, "#thisisthefirstsong," LOL.)

Wang has been posting teasers every day since he first announced "Bullet To The Heart" on Sept. 20, and now fans are so happy that they have the song and music video together on the same day.

That was intense, right? If you're wondering what the song is about, Wang explained that it can actually have a few different meanings.

Listeners might analyze the song as a love story. It is, but its also applicable to much more than romantic love. We always face different obstacles in life. No matter how successful you are, hardships are still going to keep coming like an endless cycle; they will keep torturing you on this journey to success. A perspective that I am trying to portray is that when your passion and dedication to something are so strong, they can hold a large amount of power over you! So powerful that you are willing to repeat this endless cycle, willing to accept the torture. I believe we are able to endure and accomplish anything because love overcomes everything.

I personally think that's a beautiful message and definitely one anyone can relate to. It definitely seems that Wang's fans are loving the song and music video because they haven't stopped gushing about them since they were released.

This is all so exciting and the best part is that it's just the beginning for Jackson Wang. Hours before the song's release, Wang announced on Instagram that fans can expect another single in October and Wang's first full-length solo album, which is called Mirrors.

Before "Bullet To The Heart" dropped, Wang told fans, "5 and a half hours left. Bullet to the heart. And one more single to come in OCT & the full album 'MIRRORS.'"

Olivier Rousteing has designed enough beautifully beaded dresses over the last year and a half to make me a (Non-purchasing, but still very dedicated) member of the Balmain Army for life. That said, I can't exactly buy a dress that costs more than a month's rent whenever I please, so while Balmain have some truly beautiful clothes, I have only been able to admire them from afar. How do you feel about getting chatty in bed? Do you like to keep the discourse going while you get it on? Or do you think the bedroom is a time for quiet focus? Here's the good news: There is no "right" answer, it's all about what works for you and your partner. However, if you find that you're out of sync, like for instance if your partner wont stop talking during sex and you prefer no talking, that can be frustrating, to say the least. But according to Elise Schuster, a sexuality educator and founder of okayso, it's not uncommon to face the issue of having different preferences in the bedroom. "We all need different things from our partners when we're having sex, and talking is definitely on that list," she tells Elite Daily. "Sometimes it's very easy to lose focus or get wrapped up in our own thoughts and what someone else is saying (or not saying) can pull us away from what's happening. Sometimes it might not be the amount of talking but what your partner is saying when they're talking that might also be an issue if they're saying something that feels degrading or commanding in ways that are a turn off for you."

Is this sounding a bit too familiar? If so, the only way to address the issue and find a healthy solution is to talk about it, as Carlyle Jansen, a sex expert and founder of Good For Her tells Elite Daily. "You cant fix something by not discussing it. Deep emotional intimacy and connection is built on these tough conversations. Besides, no one wants to have sex where their partner is just going through the motions," she says. Listen, I understand these types of conversations can be awkward, especially if you're worried about embarrassing or shaming your partner, which is why the experts offered the following advice on how to talk to your SO about what you need in bed, when what you really need is for them to quiet down a bit.

How To Broach The Subject.

The trickiest part of dealing with this relationship issue may simply be ironically enough speaking up about it but, as Schuster explains, it's important that you communicate your needs to your partner. It's always a great idea to talk to a partner about things like this. As much as we might want them to be, our partners are not mind readers, they can't know what we need unless we tell them, says Schuster.

Jansen suggests a softer approach. I like the game Three Oranges and a Lemon. Each partner states what they love about their erotic connection and one thing that you would like differently, she explains. According to Jansen, this creates the opportunity for you to say two things you love about your sex life, and one thing that youd like to change, in this case cutting the bedroom chit-chat.

In situations like these, timing is also key, says Schuster. My number one sex communication tip is this: Create regular times when you check in about your sex life with your partner that are not right before, during, or after sex. Set aside a long walk or dinner or Saturday morning coffee time to check in about how things are going. This works well because it's much easier to hear something hard when we're not in the middle of it all. As you're having that conversation, you can bring up talking, she suggests. When you talk about it, her advice is to keep the focus on how their verbal displays affect you to prevent them from getting defensive or embarrassed. Before you bring it up, think carefully about what it is about it that you don't like and explain that to your partner, says Schuster.

Finding A Healthy Compromise.

Once youve gotten over that initial hurdle of talking to your partner about how you're feeling, the next step is to find a compromise that works for both of you. Resolving this issue may depend on each particular couple, says Schuster. If someone doesn't like any talking at all then most likely the only resolution is for the other person to try not to talk. However, there are also lots of other variations. It could be that certain kinds of talking are great while others aren't, or that talking before someone is really aroused feels awkward but once someone is aroused it feels better... the thing that's amazing about sex is there are lots of different ways that it can look, she explains. Schuster adds that youll know youve found the right compromise when both partners feel like they are getting what they need to enjoy your shared sexual experiences.

Jansen says its ultimately all about focusing on the bigger picture. Compromise can work well where both parties appreciate the greater good of the relationship and are honest and kind, she concludes. Thats perhaps the most important takeaway, because it applies to this situation and just about all others in a relationship. It's important to speak up about what you need and communicate with your partner to find a middle ground where you are both happy, and to do it with kindness while keeping the focus on the two of you being a team. When you approach it like that, what can't you get through together?

If you watched the sixth season of Bachelor in Paradise, get comfortable in your seat, because I'm about to spill some major tea. What is this tea I speak of? Blake Horstmann's quote about leaking Caelynn Miller-Keyes' texts, of course. During Horstmann's appearance on Rachel Lindsay and Ali Fedotowsky's podcast Bachelor Happy Hour on Sept. 17, he opened up about what was going through his head when he decided to release his R-rated texts with Miller-Keyes.

"Caelynn, you know, she used the word premeditated. And, premeditated is just a fancy way of saying I thought really hard about it, because I did. It was such a hard decision for me," Horstmann told Fedotowsky and Lindsay. "That night, when I released those text messages, I was breathing into a paper bag. It was incredibly difficult for me."

Horstmann also admitted that he was having a super difficult time with the backlash he got after deciding to share his private messages with the world. I'd go so far as to say he sounded like he was genuinely upset. One of the reasons I deleted the text messages was I was having a complete breakdown. I was breathing into a paper bag," he said. "All of a sudden, I took a step back [and] I was like, Caelynns feeling this way probably. And that killed me. I was like, What Im feeling right now? I just [hurt] somebody else, and that hurt, and that sucked."

That being said, Horstmann wasn't exactly taking full responsibility for his actions. He even went so far as to blame other Bachelor Nation stars for not stopping him. "A lot of people, they didnt even really say, 'No, dont do it.' They were like 'If you do it, know what the consequences are'... and there were a few that were like, 'The things shes saying, you have to do it. I dont see any other choice,'" Horstmann claimed. "I wanted to see if anybody else had any other ideas. I wanted to see if there was any other avenue I could take. And at the end of the day, as hard as it was, I felt like that was the only thing I could do to get my truth out there."

He also confirmed that, if he had known what she was saying while on the show, he might have done things a little differently. "Had I known that she said I was silencing her and all of these things, I would have addressed it on the beach with her," he said. "But I had no idea she was saying those things. And, so when I watched it, I was shook... I was shocked. I couldnt believe it. I just couldnt believe she was saying the things she was saying."

For those of you who missed the fact that Horstmann decided to release his private texts with Miller-Keyes, let me give you a little refresher. On Aug. 6, Horstmann decided to take to Instagram to explain, in a series of screenshots taken of notes on his iPhone's Notes app, that he felt like his side of the story was wrongly portrayed when it came to his relationship with Miller-Keyes. He released texts from a contact named Caelynn that asked for a casual, physical relationship, along with the caption:

"I was not able to defend myself down in Paradise, because me and most of the beach had no idea the things Caelynn was saying in her interviews," he wrote in one of the screenshots. "I NEVER 'sweet talked' her at Stagecoach. Caelynn and I were NEVER in a relationship. I NEVER ghosted Caelynn, I NEVER called her a mistake and I absolutely NEVER EVER EVER silenced Caelynn. I never expected to have to do something like this, but after finally seeing the episodes I feel like I have no other choice but to release the text exchanges between her and myself."

Hmmm... I feel like you did have other options dude, but maybe that's just me.

The term bad breakup has long baffled me because TBH, a lot of my breakups have hurt pretty bad. But the truth is, there are bad breakups, and then there are terrible ones. Even though fall has just officially begun, it's never too early to get in the mood for Christmas, too. Personally, I like heading to Starbucks for mouthwatering seasonal beverages and treats. If you're a big fan of classic movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas, you'll want to try out this movie-inspired sweet treat off the secret menu at Starbucks. Named after Jack Skellington, the "Pumpkin King" of Halloween Town in The Nightmare Before Christmas, it's the perfect celebration of Halloween and Christmas all in one drink. Here's how to order a Jack Skellington Frappuccino at Starbucks to take your holiday spirit to the next level.

Even though this isn't an official Disney drink and Starbucks doesn't have an official secret menu, you can get still get what fans have dubbed the Jack Skellington Frappuccino by giving your barista a specific order using items available on the traditional menu. According to Totally the Bomb, you'll want to first ask for a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino with a mocha drizzle, which will be the rich base of your Jack Skellington drink. Then, add in a shot of chai syrup to give the drink an extra oomph of sugar and spice, add a shot of espresso for a caffeinated kick. Top the drink off with whipped cream and java chips to create the snow-covered peaks of Christmas Town (because they just make everything taste better).

If you prefer a hot drink to warm you up as the weather cools down, there's another secret menu option for you. Just order a Dirty Chai and add pumpkin syrup, whipped cream, and java chips. Like the Jack Skellington, the beverage is bound to transport you to Halloween Town with just a sip.

Again, remember when ordering that Starbucks doesn't have an official secret menu, so you'll have to order exactly what you want. Thankfully, some baristas on the Starbucks Reddit thread also have some suggestions to possibly even make the drink taste better. Reddit user Mister_IceBlister suggests cutting the chai shot from the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino and subbing the espresso shot for "extra frap roast coffee." MoreEspressoPls thinks subbing Blonde Roast coffee for the frap roast is best, explaining that when frappuccinos are made in the cup and then blended, it won't melt your sip.

No matter how you order it, just remember you're responsible for knowing what goes into it, since it's not an official menu item, so if you don't have the full recipe, your barista might not be able to make it for you. Oh, and showing a little extra thanks in the tip jar will probably be appreciated.

Starbucks fans took to social media to express their reactions about the news of a secret menu item. There were responses filled with both surprise and excitement. Twitter user @Carolina_xx97 wrote: "Starbucks has a Jack Skellington frappe and I don't know how to act!" while user @kings_fan23 proclaimed, "Please tell me the Jack Skellington frap at Starbucks is real."

You'll want to order the secret menu drink as soon as you can, since drinks like the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino are limited-edition products on Starbucks' fall menu. The Starbucks fall menu hit stores this year on Aug. 27, about a month earlier than the official start of fall, and included a new Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. Sweetened with vanilla syrup, the cold brew is topped with a pumpkin cream cold foam and a dusting of pumpkin spice topping. It's a caffeinated cold drink that's definitely worth giving a try, since there's been tons of buzz about the new Starbucks product. Of course, the classic Pumpkin Spice Latte also made a comeback. Introduced in 2003, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is still the coffee chain's most popular seasonal drink, and for good reason, since it's packed with flavorful pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove.

Whether it's two weeks exploring Europe or a local trip during a three-day weekend, getting away from your daily routine is always a good reset. I know that sounds soon, but if you've had a destination in mind for a while, then now might just be the time to grab a cheap flight. Seriously, there are flights that will only cost you around $100 for a round trip, like this one-way flight from Atlanta to Nashville for $49, with a $49 reverse trip as well. For a little bit more, folks flying out of Austin can snag a $91 one-way ticket to New Orleans. On the West Coast, a one-way trip out of LAX in Los Angeles to San Francisco is only $64. These are just a sampling of the deals to be found. If you want get in on the deal, put your departure city in the deal landing page and see what cheap fares are available for you.

According to the Southwest Airlines website, the deal is good for flights booked to depart and/or return between Oct. 8, 2019 and March 4, 2019, but if you're thinking you'll snag cheap holiday flights, you'll want to check out the blackout dates. While some of the actual holidays aren't blacked out for U.S. continental travel, like Thanksgiving (Nov. 28), Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), and Christmas Day (Dec. 25), many of the surrounding dates are, including Nov. 22 and 24; Nov. 30 through Dec. 2; Dec. 19 through Dec. 23; Dec. 26, 2019 through Jan. 1, 2020; and Jan 4 and 5, 2020.

That might seem like a lot of missed opportunities, but if you can extend or shorten your trip by a day or two (or fly on a holiday), you might just be able to take advantage of the deals during the holiday season.

One more thing to keep in mind when you book is that travel is only valid on certain days of the week for certain destinations, so you'll want to keep an eye on the days with the deals when you're using the low fare calendar to book your flights. But, hey, with flights as cheap as $49, I'd say it's worth it to plan your vacay dates around the low fares. Teens are the hope of the future, and if Greta Thunberg's example is anything to go by, there's plenty to be hopeful about. The Swedish teen activist has been holding politicians' feet to the fire over their inaction on climate change, and apparently, some of them aren't happy about her criticism. After President Donald Trump tweeted about Thunberg on Monday, Sept. 23, she turned his comments right back around, and Greta Thunberg's response to Trump's tweet is quite a power move.

On Sept. 23, Thunberg gave an impassioned speech at the United Nations Climate Summit that drew praise from around the world for its no-holds-barred condemnation of international inaction on climate change. "This is all wrong. I shouldnt be up here," she told international leaders, at certain points seeming on the verge of angry tears. "I should be in school on the other side of the ocean. Yet you come to us young people for hope. How dare you. You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words." Shortly after the speech went viral, another moment caught the internet's eye, when Thunberg and Trump crossed paths at the U.N., and the 16-year-old activist was caught giving the president some major stink-eye.

It seems like one, or the other, of the moments caught Trump's own attention. Later that evening, he tweeted out a video of Thunberg's remarks, adding his own caption. "She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future," he wrote. "So nice to see!"

The irony, of course, is that Thunberg is clearly and unapologetically pissed at the inaction on climate change that she's calling out, not to mention the leaders responsible for the lack of forward movement. In October 2018, the United Nations released a report written by a panel of 91 scientists from 40 countries which warned that there are only about 12 years left to limit the damage caused by climate change. The report warned of a huge climate crisis as early as 2040, and increased damage from natural disasters like wildfires and storms, as well as food shortages and ecosystem destruction. So it's the denial of a bright and happy future, due to climate change, that Thunberg focused on in her speech. "We are in the beginning of a mass extinction, and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth," she said.

But Thunberg, apparently, didn't get angry about Trump's tweet in fact, she turned the irony back on him. As of Sept. 24, Thunberg's Twitter bio describes her as, "A very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future." Shadier than the forests she's working to save.

The sarcasm may be pretty choice, but Thunberg is hardly the first one to twist Trump's attempt at a burn back on him. Way back in 2017, Twitter's very own Queen Chrissy Teigen, who notoriously has her own beef with Trump, used the president's faint praise of his son Donald Trump Jr. to roast both of them by making it her own Twitter bio. Trump had attempted to defend his son Don Jr. as a "high-quality person" after the revelation he had attempted to set up a meeting with Russians to get dirt on Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election. Apparently, Teigen thought it was the perfect descriptor. "Finally, a new bio," she tweeted out in July 2017, posting a screenshot of her bio which read, "high-quality person." (Sadly, Teigen has since re-branded as a "de-motivational speaker.")

President Trump is a lot of things, but I, at least, can say I never expected to see "Twitter bio writer" added to the list. But as far as political surprises of 2019 go, I'll take it.

Believe it or not, there are some destinations on this planet you can explore in 24 hours. During my semester abroad, I covered most of the major sights and attractions in Paris in a single day. I also ate pizza topped with fresh olives and prosciutto, toured the Colosseum, and took artsy pictures with the Trevi Fountain in Rome in an afternoon. So it's safe to say I feel pretty qualified to give you a list of things to see in Venice in a day that you and your wanderlust will totally love.

I know what parts of this dreamy city can be skipped if you're tight on time, and what excursions you should go on before walking into a local restaurant with authentic seafood pasta on the menu. From my personal travel experiences, I can tell you gondola rides aren't overrated, and the little white bridges that cross over the canals are as quaint and perfect as Tumblr and Instagram make them out to be.

My heart was in total awe when I caught my first glimpses of this Italian paradise. I think my mouth even dropped when I looked out the water taxi's window and saw the pastel buildings. After seeing each of these five things, I fell farther into my beautiful love affair with Venice. If you check them out on your upcoming day trip, I'm willing to bet you'll feel the exact same way.

1. The Rialto Bridge

First things first: When you're in Venice, you're going to see a lot of bridges. They'll cross over the canals and bring you into local markets and picturesque neighborhoods. You'll want to take a picture with every single one. But be sure to save some room in your camera roll for the Rialto Bridge.

In my opinion, it's one of the greatest sights in the city and will make you feel like you're living in a Disney movie. When you wander up the stairs of the bridge and look out over the Grand Canal, you'll instantly imagine yourself as a famous artist looking for some #inspo.

Then, you may nudge your travel buddy or someone in your tour group and ask if they can take your picture with the bustling streets and lines of gondolas in the background. You'll post it on social media with a caption like, "Paradise, found."

2. The Grand Canal

If you've already done a little research on Venice, then you know the main sources of transportation are water taxis, gondolas, and boats. That's because the "streets" are waterways that are lined with exquisite architecture and historical views. The most iconic and well-known of these "streets" is the Grand Canal.

When I went to Venice, I interpreted this major waterway as the highway of the city. It was crowded with various boats and travelers trying to get from Point A to Point B. It amazed me how far it stretched and how little it made me feel. To this day, I haven't experienced anything quite like it.

So during your day trip, you should see it for yourself. Take a water taxi to the Murano Glass Museum or Burano, or gaze at the canal from the sidewalk outside Doge's Palace. You won't regret it.

3. St. Mark's Square

Piazza San Marco otherwise known as St. Mark's Square will likely be filled with travelers and sightseers like you when you go to Venice. But if you embrace the pigeons and loads of people in this area of the city, you'll be treated to pure bliss.

You'll see one of the top sights and be able to score some pretty epic pictures to take home and recall your adventures. You'll get a prime view of the orange bell tower, St. Mark's Campanile, too.

You may even come across a cute spot like Caff Florian to kick back and enjoy some hot chocolate. What more could you ask for? It beats me.

4. The Bridge Of Sighs

The Bridge of Sighs is a must-see when you're visiting Venice, even if you're only going to be there for 24 hours or so. This bridge is history captured in the most intricate form of architecture.

According to TripSavvy.com, it connects the nearby palace to the prisons that were built on the other side of the canal in the late 16th century. After prisoners were questioned, they were brought back to their cell, getting a tiny glimpse of the outside world through this bridges tiny and very detailed windows.

I know it sounds like a sad story, but over the years this bridge has become representative of love. In fact, I even saw a couple taking their wedding pictures in front of it during my day trip.

5. Doge's Palace

Last but not least, a day in Venice isn't complete without a look at Doge's Palace. This palace will make you feel like royalty upon stepping off your gondola. Take a second to admire its beauty before doing anything else in the city.

Walk around its pillars and maybe even take a tour of the fancy halls and exhibitions. Study the paintings and collections on the walls, and get in touch with the culture that surrounds you. Then, get to seeing the other items on this somewhat short but jam-packed list.

Essentially, this list can definitely act as your itinerary when you're visiting this dreamy city. It will make sure you and your wanderlust don't miss a single thing while you're spending the day in Venice.
